Translatum.gr is looking for a developer for a terminology database and translator database in php/mysql.

Prerequisites:
Experience in major database projects in php/mysql (You must be able to provide URLs with examples of your work!)
Experience with UTF-8 (the system should fully support multiple language search, for example polytonic Greek) [very important!]
An active interest in languages and on-line dictionaries and the enthusiasm of working with an elite team in Greek translation and terminology on behalf of the most popular Greek translation site on the net will be considered a plus.

Short project description:

1) Terminology Database

• Multiple glossary fields (Term, translation, definition, field, synonyms, antonyms, Reference, URL, etc.)
• Multiple glossary creation
• History of editing for terms
• Import/Export large files (csv tab delimited)
• In-built cache engine
• Search-engine-friendly URL creation (mod_rewrite work)
• Excellent search function fully supporting UTF-8
• Very fast search through Gbs of data (use of wildcards)
• Different visual styles using template engine (i.e. smarty)
• RSS feeds for glossaries (per glossary)
• W3C-validated code (XHTML 1.1 strict and css)
• User feedback form with CAPTCHA (edit entry/add entry – stored in database for admin approval).
• Possible integration as Joomla 1.5 component
