I think that "geniouses"/"wizards" have a good connotation, right?

Yes, that's my point, whereas 'οι επιτήδειοι' has a negative meaning (see examples above).
(We don't want to be charged with libel/slander, do we?;-)!)
That's why I used quotation marks. Of course they have a positive meaning. Positive can be turned to negative in no time, though. Nevertheless I see your point. Haven't got a better suggestion at this point. :(I'll agree with artful/cunning traders. Think it sounds good.
