honour: τιμή

strength: ρώμη, σθένος, αλκή, δύναμις, κράτος, ισχύς

courage: θάρρος, ευτολμία, ευψυχία

All of them still in use, to some degree or another, with the same meanings.

Well, "ανδρεία" is closer in meaning to "bravery".

Sorry to bring back a very old post. But if one was to describe courage in life, no matter what the situation is, would it be represented as εὐψυχία for high spiritedness? Thinking of various tattoo ideas and the word courage in Greek is something ive been fond of for a very long time but I am still unsure of which version would make sense? I am a male, but I don't necessarily mean courage as in combat or physical, just in life.

It would depend on your own attitude and character.  An active, positive alertness combined with bravery could qualify as εὐψυχία.  But the more general term for "courage in life" is θάρρος.

Thank you! Also, why does this specific word for courage seem so hard to research online? I can't find many sources of its meaning. (Not that I doubt anyone on this board!) Is it still used nowadays to describe "good courage; high spirit" ?
