Νομίζω ότι εδώ μιλάμε για gender role development. Ισχύει, απ' ό,τι φαίνεται, και το gender role formation και σε μικρότερο βαθμό το gender role shaping.

Νομίζω ότι το formulation of the gender role πρέπει να βγει από τον τίτλο, όχι μόνο γιατί δεν χρησιμοποιείται, αλλά και γιατί νοηματικά είναι μάλλον ανακριβές / παραπλανητικό καθώς παραπέμπει σε τυποποίηση / έκφραση κατάστασης ήδη διαμορφωμένης και όχι σε δυναμική διαδικασία που περνά από διαφορα στάδια εξέλιξης (διαμόρφωση).

Επίσης, δεν χρησιμοποιούνται οι μορφές "formation of the role of the gender", "formation of the gender role" κλπ. Εξαίρεση αποτελεί το development of the gender role.

To "gender role determination" χρησιμοποιείται μεν, αλλά για τον καθορισμό, όχι τη διαμόρφωση, και έχει πολύ να κάνει με παρεκκλίσεις από τον αναμενόμενο (θεωρούμενο ως αρμόζοντα ή κατάλληλο σε συγκεκριμένες κοινωνικές συνθήκες) ρόλο.
