When I search for a translation of philosophy I find: φιλοσοφία. But as a Greek language virgin, I can't figure out if this is ancient or modern Greek and I would like to have both translations :)

Hello, Esj, and welcome to Translatum!

The same word (φιλοσοφία) is used in both Ancient and Modern Greek.

hi wings, and thanks!

As a philosophy major I've been debating a long time on the (simple) tattoo I'm getting, and I just wanted to make sure I had the right translation ;) Again, thank you so much!
