I'm doing research on the use of the word 'witch' in the bible. Since at one point it was translated from Greek, I'm curious whether  there actually is a word for 'witch' in ancient Greek?
If anyone has any alternate ideas about a word that might have been misinterpreted as 'witch' I'd like to hear about that as well.
Thank you for your time.

You should be aware that New Testament Greek is fairly different from Ancient Greek. My searches returned no matches for "witch" in the New Testament

φαρμακίς
