I have a vague memory of reading it somewhere, but i just can't place it. Is this from a book?

    • the blog....
I think it's from The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle...

There is a Greek language edition of the book.

Πάνω που η κάμπια νόμιζε ότι έχανε τον κόσμο, έγινε πεταλούδα.

I translated "the world was over" with the Greek expression "lose the world" which can mean that one is losing the world literally (to die) but also metaphorically (to feint, to lose consciousness). From what I can gather this is an expression attributed to anonymous sources and not from a literary source. If I am mistaken then someone let me know so we can search for the book and see if there is a Greek translation for it.

Κι εκεί που η κάμπια νόμισε ότι τέλειωσαν όλα, μεταμορφώθηκε σε πεταλούδα.
Τι λέτε; :-)
