International Publishers Exhibition (Athens, Caravel Hotel, 4-5 September, 2010)

International Publishers Exhibition – Autumn 10

REVISED AND NEW ENGLISH LANGUAGE QUALIFICATIONS

42 leading foreign and Greek publishing houses sponsor the Autumn 10 exhibition in Athens. The seminars and the exhibition will take place on Saturday and Sunday, 4 & 5 September from 10.00 – 18.00 at the centrally located Hotel Divani Caravel, before the beginning of the new school year.

Loyal to the IPE tradition the emphasis of the event is on education. There will be 36 seminars, workshops and presentations by well-known authors and teacher trainers to inform participants of new developments in foreign language teaching. The list of speakers includes such distinguished names as Karl Matthews (Black Cat Publishing), Cliff Parry (British Council), Olha Madylus (Cambridge University Press), Sam McCarter (Macmillan) and Eleni Livaniou (Thace). Also, the popular Greek authors Andrew Betsis, Akis Davanellos, Virginia Evans and Costas Grivas will again enthuse their large audiences with several presentations.

During the extensive exhibition visitors have the opportunity to inspect the latest available English, French, German, Italian and Spanish books and teaching materials. Visitors can meet not only with publishers and authors but also with representatives of computer software companies, teacher training centres and examination boards.

Revised and new English language qualifications will be the focal point of this autumn exhibition. The latest information on exams will be provided by City & Guilds, EDI/LCCI, the Hellenic American Union, LTE Exams-Edexcel, Test of Interactive English and the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations.

The admission to the IPE, the biggest event of its kind in Greece, is free for teachers and professors of private and state schools, colleges, TEI and universities.

A copy of the detailed programme can be downloaded from www.ip-exhibitions.eu or obtained free of charge from the banqueting department at the Hotel Divani Caravel, Vas. Alexandrou Ave 2, Athens.
