Sunset from seafront
|
Sunset from seafront, Aristotelous square, Thessalonica.
To overcome the limited dynamic range of digital cameras, there is a workaround available - called "exposure bracketing". Exposure bracketing means that one takes two more pictures: one slightly under-exposed (usually by dialing in a negative exposure compensation, say -1/3EV), and the second one slightly over-exposed (usually by dialing in a positive exposure compensation, say +1/3EV).
Three shots of the same scene were combined and processed using tonemapping in order to create this effect.
