My translation: "I will not kill him for the sake of many, and because the child is akin to me, and because Astuages is both old and childless."

Good work, JM, on the whole.  But do you think that maybe πολλῶν ἕνεκα ... καὶ ὅτι means "for many reasons, including the fact that ..." ?
