Today we tried to buy a license but had very strange results:

We saw that the license price for freelancers in Greece is listed at 125 euros, but got the following ambiguous message during processing through Shareit:

"The publisher of "Wordfast license at 125 euros each" has defined an export restriction for this product for certain countries. Due to this restriction, we are unable to accept your order.
If you have any questions about this, please contact the publisher directly at sales[AT]wordfast.net."

Wordfast seems to accept no payment options other than Shareit or PayPal; Paypal does not accept transfers from a Greek bank account to a Paypal account...so we are frustrated at the moment with a major job pending and a finished trial period.

The FAQ says: Is there any other payment method than what is listed in the website?
"Sorry, no..."

Any ideas or suggestions appreciated:-)

Proz often offers bundles with proz membership and Wordfast at very good prices.

Also, I was under the impression that the discounted price of 125 euro was not valid for Greece but for Eastern European/African countries (non EU).

The discount price is made available to buyers who work and reside in countries where most people cannot afford standard prices of software.

Hence, it does not apply to users who work or reside in any of the following countries or their dependencies:

The Americas: The USA, Mexico, Canada.
Europe: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Portugal, Spain,  The Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, The United Kingdom.
Asia/Oceania: Australia, Brunei, Hong-Kong, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan
"Near East": Bahrein, Israel, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE

Wordfast is free for a maximum of 500 TUs.

If you do not have Paypal, then you can pay using your credit card.

The Buy form at wordfast.net, after being filled up, gives links to secure payment pages from two major financial partners with a sterling reputation that take credit cards, direct bank transfers, cheques, and Postal Money Orders (cash). For bureaucratic corporations who need to first place an order, then receive a proforma invoice (usually in paper form) before paying, please use the contact form and let us know. For all others, an invoice is delivered together with the license number, as with all online sales.
