Start/Stop Sphinx on CentOS 7

Check status
systemctl status searchd

Start
systemctl start searchd

Stop
systemctl stop searchd

Restart
systemctl restart searchd

To tell the service to start at reboot:
systemctl enable searchd

To tell the service to not start at reboot:
systemctl disable searchd
