Title: How to translate Greeklish text (Greek in Latin characters) using machine translation
Post by: spiros on 19 Feb, 2010, 16:31:40
Posting questions in greeklish (Greek words in Latin script) in not allowed on this forum. (Also, there is a 12 word limit according to the rules (https://www.translatum.gr/forum/index.php?topic=35.0)). But there is a solution so that you can convert AND translate. Also, text in greeklish usually comes from SMS messages and the like, and hardly merits the attention of a human translator, hence, beyond the scope of this forum.

How to translate Greeklish text (Greek in Latin characters) using machine translation.

1. Go to Greeklish to Greek converter (http://services.innoetics.com/Greeklish/Service_en.aspx) to convert to proper Greek.
Paste your greeklish text in the box. Press Ελληνικά. It will convert it into Greek. Copy the output.

2. Use http://translate.google.com to translate the output.

Please note that the first site to which you linked, Greek grammar by Neurolingo (https://www.translatum.gr/forum/convert-greeklish.htm), is not displaying anything. You may need to update your post.
