about the grammar... how do i begin in identifying the word? can i simply know if its a noun by the suffix it has or i need to know the word? and when i know it which parts of the word tell me what case, person or number it is?

also, is there a reliable greek-english translator (parser) on the web? i have found the one on pegasus but it doesnt work for me quite so well.

Greek is a highly inflected language, more like slavic languages than like English.  All nouns and verbs have distinctive endings which signal their gender, number, case, person, tense, etc.
