"Philoxenos" was a common male name in antiquity. Here it might be the sculptor's name, or possibly the dedicant's. Less likely: the word might be an epithet of Aphrodite, "hospitable;" if so, it would be unique, since it doesn't seem to be attached to that goddess in any other ancient source.
