It says:

Ἡ βουλὴ καὶ ὁ δῆμος                           Τhe Council and the People
ἐτ<ε>ίμησεν Αὐρ[ήλιον Δη]                 honored Aurelios De-
μήτριον Εύτυ[             νεω]                 metrios Euty[.... by electing him to be a]
κόρον τοῦ Διός                                    temple-warden of Zeus.

The names, letter forms, and misspellings point to a date in the early years of the Common Era.  The office of "temple warden" (νεωκόρος) was an honor bestowed on those who had somehow benefited the city, usually through expenditures for public works.  The office entitled the bearer to officiate at certain religious ceremonies in the temple.
