Title: ὃ γὰρ βούλεται, τοῦθ' ἕκαστος καὶ οἴεται → what he wishes to be true, each person also believes to be true | what he wishes, each person also believes

Cf. Demosthenes, Olynthiac 3.19.9:  ὃ γὰρ βούλεται, τοῦθ' ἕκαστος καὶ οἴεται ("what he wishes [to be true], each person also believes [to be true]").
Also Julius Caesar, Gallic War 3.18:  fere libenter homines id quod volunt credunt ("people quite cheerfully believe what they wish [to be true]").
