Hello,
The 1st Conference of families of disappeared people is to be held in Rabat
(Morocco) from the June 12th to 14th 2008.
The FEMED, Euro-Mediterranean's Federation Against Forced Disappearances,
is a small association recently created to join at an international level
the efforts of the associations of families of disappeared people, in order
to fight together against forced disappearances, against impunity, for the
truth and the justice. This will be the first meeting for the network of
families of disappeared people and it will determine its future.
Babels will participate as an international network of voluntary
interpreters; we'll work with: Arabic, English, French, Kurdish,
Serbo-Croatian, Spanish and Turkish
If you interpret from and/or to, at least two of those languages at a good
level,
If you are available during these days (June 12th to 15th ) and if you are
interested in participating please send an email as soon as possible to
familles-disparus@yahoogroups.com, with the following information, knowing
the meeting will begin on the 12th at 18h and will finalise on the 14th
June at night:
- First Name(s):
- Surname(s):
- City/airport/station you would travel from:
- Cost of your travel to Rabat on those dates (you can arrive earlier and
leave later, but the staying will be at your own expenses):
- Level of experience in simultaneous interpretation: (first experience,
occasional, experienced, or professional).
- All your language combinations, telling us the level you have in each
(1=excellent, 2=very good, 3=good) example: EN>ES 1, AR>ES 2, ES>EN 3,
please don't include combinations where your level is medium or weak.
- Do you need a visa to enter in Morocco?
Those interpreters selected will be reimbursed their travel expenses; your
housing and meals will be covered y the organisation. Only one Babels team
will be needed, I will give priority to those who have language
combinations best suited to the meeting's needs, and also to those who live
relatively close to Rabat.

Du 12 au 14 juin 2008 Rabat (Maroc) accueille la 1ère Conférence des
Familles de Disparus.
La FEMED, la Fédération Euro-méditerranéenne Contre les Disparitions
Forcées, est une petite association qui vient de se créer pour unir les
efforts des associations de familles de disparus à niveau international,
afin de lutter ensemble contre les disparitions forcées, contre
l'impunité, pour la vérité et la justice. Cette réunion est la première du
réseau de familles de disparus et sera déterminante pour son avenir.
Babels participera comme réseau d'interprètes bénévoles, nous travaillerons
en : Anglais, Arabe, Espagnol, Français, Serbo-croate, Kurde et Turc.
Si tu interprètes de et/ou vers au moins deux de ces langues à bon niveau,
Si tu es disponible à ces dates (12 > 15 juin) et que tu souhaites
participer, s'il te plait envoies un email au plus tôt à

sachant que la réunion commencera le 12 juin à 18h et s'achèvera le 14 juin

-Prix de ton déplacement à Rabat à ces dates (tu peux venir avant ou
repartir après, si tu le souhaites mais le séjour sera à tes frais) :
-Expérience en interprétation simultanée: (débutant, occasionnel,
expérimenté, ou professionnel).
-Toutes tes combinaisons de langues, en indiquant le niveau de chacune
(1=excellent, 2=très bon, 3=bon), exemple : ES>FR 1, FR>ES 2, etc.,
(mais sans donner les combinaisons qui tu as à un niveau moyen ou encore
faible).
-As-tu besoin d'un visa pour entrer sur le territoire marocain?
Les interprètes sélectionnés seront remboursés de leurs frais de transport,
ils seront logés et nourris. Une seule équipe d'interprètes sera
nécessaire, je donnerai priorité aux personnes dont les combinaisons de
langues s'adaptent le mieux aux besoins de la réunion et qui vivent près de
Rabat.

Del 12 al 14 de junio 2008, Rabat (Marruecos) acoge la 1a Conferencia de
Familiares de Desaparecidos.
La FEMED, la Federación Euro-mediterránea Contra las Desapariciones
Forzadas, es una pequeña asociación que acaba de crearse para aunar los
esfuerzos de las asociaciones de familiares de desaparecidos a nivel
internacional, con el fin de luchar juntos contra las desapariciones
forzadas, contra la impunidad, para la verdad y la justicia. Esta reunión
será la primera de esa red de familiares de desaparecidos y será
determinante para su futuro.
Babels participará al FSMed como red internacional de intérpretes
voluntarios, trabajaremos con: árabe, español, francés, inglés, kurdo,
turco y serbocroata.

A los intérpretes seleccionados se les reembolsará el coste del viaje (si
tienen que desplazarse); además, recibirán alojamiento y comidas. Hará
falta un solo equipo, daré prioridad a las personas cuyas combinaciones de
idiomas mejor se adapten a las necesidades del encuentro y a aquellas que
vengan de lugares cercanos.
