Καθορίζει τα νοσήματα υποχρεωτικής δήλωσης που πρέπει να δηλώνονται και να καταχωρούνται στο αρχείο κρουσμάτων λοιμωδών νοσημάτων, για το οποίο η διαφύλαξη του απορρήτου και ο σεβασμός ανθρωπίνων δικαιωμάτων έχει υποχρεωτική εφαρμογή.

It specifies the compulsory reported diseases which shall be reported and entered in the register/records of infectious disease cases, wherefor secrecy and respect for human rights should be safeguarded.

Υπάρχει κοινοτική οδηγία για τα υποχρεωτικώς δηλούμενα νοσήματα αλλά δεν την έχω βρει έως τώρα...

Mandatory reporting
Infectious diseases reporting is a requirement placed upon health care providers by many regional and national governments, and upon national governments by the World Health Organization. Since 1969, WHO has required that all cases of the following diseases be reported to the organization: cholera, plague, yellow fever, smallpox, relapsing fever and typhus. In 2005, the list was extended to include polio and SARS. Regional and national governments typically monitor a larger set of (around 80 in the U.S.) communicable diseases that can potentially threaten the general population. Tuberculosis, HIV, botulism, hantavirus, and anthrax are examples of such diseases.

Other accepted terms are "reportable disease" and "notifiable disease". By being included in this classification, the reporting/notifying is understood to be mandatory....
