Έχει ακούσει κανείς την φράση:

are you still in the loop?

be in the loop = to have the special knowledge or power that belongs to a particular group of people

αλλά αυτό μάλλον δεν ταιριάζει στο κείμενό μου, όπου 2-3 άνθρωποι προσπαθούν να κλείσουν μια συσκευή που κατέγραφε διάλογο και δεν τα καταφέρνουν.

Μπορεί να είναι και αυτό. Δεν είναι σαφές από το κείμενο τι ακριβώς εννοεί και σε ποιον απευθύνεται γιατί υπάρχουν 3-4 άτομα στον χώρο.
