Nausicrates (4th cent. BCE comic poet), Captains, fr. 1.5. Not sure why LSJ turns the citation into a question (ἔγνωκας; Lat. tenes? Nausicr. 1.5), which it's not in Nausicrates. Tenes is the second person present singular of teneo (lit. "hold," "grasp"), an LSJ allusion to the early Roman comic poets Plautus and Terence, who often used the verb to mean "know" or "understand."
