Aristophanes, Clouds 910.  Just Argument has just called Unjust Argument a "shameless anal pervert." Unjust Argument responds literally, "You've called me 'roses,'" indicating that J.A.'s name-calling is not only ineffectual, but even elevates U.A. in the eyes of spectators.
