However, it seems true that, whatever the names and/or terminology, we are witnessing a battle of 'evil vs. bad'. We have practically no choice. Whether one supports Trump or the NGO-leftists, it's one and the same thing: the consequences are destructive for the whole world in either case. Truly free-thinking people (who are neither liberal nor fascist; who are no '-ists' whatsoever) -i.e. the good ones- have no institutional representation, so they're virtually non-existent in terms of political influence.

Right — if he's not president, he has to fear debt, criminal investigations, lawsuits, and the IRS.  If he can stay in the White House another 4 years, the Statute of Limitations will expire, and he'll be home free.  No wonder he's clinging to power so desperately!

Trump needs no help from anyone with regard to his defamation. He does a pretty good job of it himself. His support to fossil fuel moguls, his self-centeredness, arrogance, racism, misogynism, divorce from... truth and science, his love affairs with dictators all over the world, his foul language, all that is overpowering evidence regarding his state of mind and his motivation. It is so sad to see all those inane conspiracists rallying around such profoundly self-centered and inhumane individuals in a fit of collective post-truth delirium. It reminds me of how serial killers tend to get hundreds of love letters in jail by pining women. Power, perhaps specifically the power of evil, attracts all sorts of mentally unbalanced people. They are all around us. And their profound stupidity, to echo Cipolla, can only be underestimated at our own risk. And at the risk of the destruction of this planet.
