I am just starting to learn ancient greek, was wondering if anyone could translate something for me.  I don't even know how to type in greek characters really so I will just say the names of the letters.  pi - omicron - nu - omicron (long vowel) - zeta

Actually now that you say something it was a sigma symbol, I am just starting lessons with a book called "Greek: an intensive course" and noticed someone had a tattoo with it and I could figure out all of the letters but one, of course I couldn't translate because I am just starting.  So its Pi-omicron-nu-omicron-sigma

I might have switched the long vowel in my head to the wrong letter, so you are probably right on the translation.
