The 5th ESF will this year take place in Malmö in the South of Sweden 17th to 21st of September 2008.
The main theme of the ESF-5 is: "Making another Europe possible! - East and West together, building alliances for struggles and alternatives."
Babels has been asked by the Nordic Organization Committee to help ensure language diversity at the ESF and participate in the interpretation during the forum.
You can now register on the babels database your interest as a volunteer interpreter or translator for the 2008 European Social Forum.

We are looking for volunteers in all European languages and particularly welcome volunteers from Northern, Eastern and Central Europe as for this ESF we are trying to encourage a greater use of languages from these countries.
As with the 2007 ESF in Athens, travel costs for volunteer interpreters will be reimbursed and accommodation will be provided free of charge.
