This is from Frisk, not sure what ds. stands for and why it has to be in quotes. It is used extensively and there is no entry in the book's key. Is it dictus by any chance?
In Frisk's English version I see id. in those places instead. I.e.

As I recall, ds. = dasselbe [or dieselbe, or derselbe] ("the same"). The abbreviation id. (Latin idem) = "the same." I don't understand the significance of the quotation marks.
