Title: Where to find a Greek font download for Windows XP
Post by: billberg23 on 26 Feb, 2006, 07:40:52
I'm embarrassed to ask such an elementary question, but am confused by the info offered by Microsoft.  Apologies if you've already answered it many times before.  With my U.S.-purchased computer, I'd like to be able to write Greek with Roman interspersed, the way all of you do. Monotonic would be fine, though polytonic would be a neat thing to have for the ancient language.  Do I need to buy new software and/or a new keyboard?  If so, where?  Or can I manage with an internet download and a local qwerty keyboard?  Will I ever be able to send e-mail in Greek, using, say, hotmail, or is ugly Greeklish my only recourse there?
I'd be grateful for any recommendations, in any language.

How embarrassing!  I've just noticed, for the first time, the "Greek fonts" link at the bottom of the page.  Sorry to have bothered you!
