We received this message from SDL Trados:

As of April 2008, it will no longer be possible to use old versions of Trados 6.5 or SDLX 2004 or earlier.
These versions will no longer be supported and will not be valid for upgrades.

Translated, this means that as of 01/04/2008, SDL Trados will no longer provide support for versions of Trados 6.5 or SDLX 2004 or earlier and it will no longer be possible to use these licences as a basis to obtain a discount on the purchase of licences for the new versions of SDL Trados.
Obviously it will still be possible to use these programs until problems arise.
