Lodged
The rain to the wind said “You push and I’ll pelt”. They so smote the garden bed That the flowers actually knelt, And lay lodged – though not dead. I know how the flowers felt.

Είπε στον άνεμο η βροχή «Σπρώχνε με εσύ κι εγώ χυμώ». Και χτύπησαν του κήπου τις πρασιές μέχρι που τα λουλούδια πραγματικά γονάτισαν. Κι έμειναν ξαπλωμένα – κι ας μην ήταν νεκρά. Το ξέρω τα λουλούδια τι ένιωσαν.
