Title: John Wilmot, Earl of Rochester - Regime de Vivre (and Greek translation)
Post by: spiros on 06 Jul, 2005, 02:44:18
Regime de Vivre
Earl of Rochester

I rise at eleven, I dine about two,
I get drunk before seven; and the next thing I do,
I send for my whore, when for fear of a clap,
I spend in her hand, and I spew in her lap.
Then we quarrel and scold, 'till I fall fast asleep,
When the bitch, growing bold, to my pocket does creep;
Then slyly she leaves me, and, to revenge the affront,
At once she bereaves me of money and cunt.
If by chance then I wake, hot-headed and drunk,
What a coil do I make for the loss of my punk!
I storm and I roar, and I fall in a rage,
And missing my whore, I bugger my page.
Then, crop-sick all morning, I rail at my men,
And in bed I lie yawning 'till eleven again.

Λέγεται Mr. Brownstone κι είναι απ'το Appetite For Destruction (1987).

http://opioids.com/heroin/mr-brownstone.html

λολ

"I get up around seven, Get outta bed around nine
And I don't worry about nothin' no
Cause worryin's a waste of my... time

The show usually starts around seven
We go on stage around nine
Get on the bus around eleven
Sippin' a drink and feelin' fine

We been dancin' with Mr.Brownstone
He's been knockin'
He won't leave me alone

I used to do a little but a little would n't do
So the little got more and more
I just keep tryin' to get a little better
Said a little better than before...

Now I get up around whenever
I used to get up on time
But that old man he's a real mothaf****r
Gonna kick him on down the line"

Πάρε για παράδειγμα το: Give Me Women, Wine, And Snuff (https://www.translatum.gr/forum/index.php?topic=1398.0) του John Keats.

Sex And Drugs And Rock 'N' Roll

by Ian Dury & The Blockheads

Sex and drugs and rock and roll
Is all my brain and body need
Sex and drugs and rock and roll
Are very good indeed

Keep your silly ways or throw them out the window
The wisdom of your ways, I've been there and I know
Lots of other ways, what a jolly bad show
If all you ever do is business you don't like

Sex and drugs and rock and roll
Sex and drugs and rock and roll
Sex and drugs and rock and roll
Is very good indeed

Every bit of clothing ought to make you pretty
You can cut the clothing, grey is such a pity
I should wear the clothing of Mr. Walter Mitty
See my tailor, he's called Simon, I know it's going to fit

Here's a little piece of advice
You're quite welcome it is free
Don't do nothing that is cut price
You know what that'll make you be
They will try their tricky device
Trap you with the ordinary
Get your teeth into a small slice
The cake of liberty

Sex and drugs and rock and roll
Sex and drugs and rock and roll
Sex and drugs and rock and roll
Sex and drugs and rock and roll
Sex and drugs and rock and roll
Sex and drugs and rock and roll
Sex and drugs and rock and roll
Sex and drugs and rock and roll
Sex, drugs, rock, roll
Sex, drugs, rock, roll
