Most of our important ideas come wrapped in a layer of anxiety which makes one part of us reluctant to entertain them.

    • de Chardin, Pierre Teilhard
The day will come when, after harnessing space, the winds, the tides, gravitation,
we shall harness for God the energies of love

Understand your darkness and it will vanish
    Happiness is not something you acquire;
love is not something you produce; love is not something you have; love is something that has you.
    Spirituality means waking up.

    • de Romilly, Jacqueline (Ζακλίν ντε Ρομιγύ)
En gros, le grec est plus savant

    • Denham, John
Nor ought a genius less than his that writ attempt translation.

    • Desproges, Pierre

Conversations of Father Zossima, from Brothers Karamazov

Other countries may offer you discoveries in manners or lore or landscape. Greece offers you something harder—the discovery of yourself.

    • Dyer, Wayne Walter (Dr. Wayne Dyer)
Change Your Perception. Remember this maxim:
When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
The way you perceive things is an extremely powerful tool that will allow you
to fully bring the power of intention into your life.

Make a commitment to look for joy everywhere.
    Offer joyful commentary wherever possible.

Believing that who we are is defined by what other people think of us
cripples the joyful spontaneity of our authentic selves

Listen to your inner voice and promise that you'll take positive action where you need to
Shift your life from Entitlement to Humility, from Contol to Trust, and finally from Attachment to Letting Go.
Rule Number 6 (Κανόνας Αριθμός 6)

    • Dylan, Bob (Robert Allen Zimmerman)
I just draw what’s interesting to me, and then I paint it
All I can do is be me, whoever that is.

    • Einstein, Albert
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.
There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle.
The other is as though everything is a miracle.

Few are those who see with their own eyes and feel with their own hearts.
We should take care not to make the intellect our god: it has, of course, powerful muscles, but no personality.
The significant problems that we have cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them.
    More quotes by Albert Einstein

    • Eisen, Michael
When we allow ourselves to feel what we are feeling—without trying to understand it, explain it, or judge it—we reach a point where the true wisdom reveals itself.

    • Eliot, George
When death, the great reconciler, has come, it is never our tenderness that we repent of, but our severity
Might, could, would - they are contemptible auxiliaries.
Our words have wings, but fly not where we would.
You should read history and look at ostracism, persecution, martyrdom, and that kind of thing.
They always happen to the best men, you know.

    — Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.
    — Playwriting gets into your blood and you can't stop it. At least not until the producers or the public tell you to.

    Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion;
it is not the expression of personality, but an escape from personality.
But, of course, only those who have personality and emotions know what it means to want to escape from these things

    — Poetry may make us from time to time a little more aware of the deeper,
    unnamed feelings which form the substratum of our being, to which we rarely penetrate;
for our lives are mostly a constant evasion of ourselves.
    — So the lover must struggle for words.
    — Some editors are failed writers, but so are most writers.
    — The last thing one discovers in composing a work is what to put first.
    — What we call the beginning is often the end. And to make an end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from.

It's a lot like nuts and bolts - if the rider's nuts, the horse bolts!
I am not gone but merely walk within you.
Sometimes what seems like surrender isn't surrender at all. It's about what's going on in our hearts.
