Ιt means to the beloved (used for singular masculine or neutral).

It is the passive present participle (masculine) in the dative case of the Ancient Greek verb "φιλέω,-ώ", which means "love, consider a friend, treat in a friendly way, take care of".
Ο λόγος είναι μεγάλη ανάγκη της ψυχής. (Γιώργος Ιωάννου)
