Τάσος Λειβαδίτης, Επιστροφή απ’ το φαρμακείο (Tassos Leivaditis, Coming home from the Pharmacy) [Translation: Stefanos Tsigrimanis and Karen Van Dyck]Επιστροφή απ’ το φαρμακείο Τάσος Λειβαδίτης
| Coming home from the Pharmacy Tassos Leivaditis (Translation: Stefanos Tsigrimanis and Karen Van Dyck)
It happened without me ever understanding how— Mother had a headache, I recall, so they sent me to the pharmacy, on my way back, it's true, I loitered a little, mocked an old man, scared two birds with one stone so that when I turned onto the road again there was no more home, no more youth.
