If you want to do the same thing in SDL Trados Studio 2009/2011/2014, check

How to define translation memory fields (attributes) in Trados (client, project, subject field)The
Project Settings tab in the
Project and Filter Settings dialog box allows you to activate attribute and text fields for a specific project. The values you set for each field are then added to each new translation unit created during the project (so that you can track which project/client/file/subject field or whatever a translation unit belongs to).
The
Filter Settings tab in the
Project and Filter Settings dialog box allows you to define attribute and text fields as filters, which are then used by Translator's Workbench when searching the translation memory. The setup of the current translation memory determines which text fields and attributes are available to you.
Translator's Workbench allows you to save project settings for re-use at a later stage. The settings are stored in external files – known as Translator’s Workbench project settings – with the extension
.wps.
