click away, click in shop και... click inside: αγγλικοί όροι που είναι... ελληνικοί

Υπάρχει παράδοση στη δημιουργία ψευδοαγγλικών όρων (face control κανείς;), άλλωστε, προσδίδουν πρεστίζ (για να βάλουμε και λίγο γαλλικά στην εξίσωση).

Τόσο το click in shop όσο και το click away υπάρχουν αποκλειστικά στην... ελληνική επικράτεια. Η αναζήτηση πχ με περιορισμό στη Βρετανία και τα αγγλικά είναι ενδεικτική. Η απορία μου είναι ποιος τους εφευρίσκει.

Not to be more than the pedant I usually am, but could "click in shop" possibly be a mistake for the vocal shortcut "click 'n' shop" (= "click and shop")? https://www.google.com/search?q=click+in+shop&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS916US916&oq=click+in+shop&aqs=chrome..69i57j0i22i30l5j69i60l2.12733j1j9&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8, as in "him 'n' me" or "sugar 'n' spice" or "T. 'n' A."?  Perhaps the topic may be better located in the "Fun for Translators" board, s.v. "translation blunders."

No, Bill, it is a Greek patent :) Click and shop does not appear to have any special meaning apart from online shopping. The Greek thing is that you order online, they prepare your order, you make an appointment and you collect your item without getting in the shop (click away), or, with the new iteration (click in shop), you can enter and try the product (i.e. clothes).

Funny as it may appear to native English speakers, it is also a serious linguistic tendency. And it is hardly a blunder as it is used by mainstream and government media.

Σύμφωνα με πληροφορίες του star, από τις 15 Ιανουαρίου το click away φέρεται να αποχωρεί από τις ζωές μας και θα αντικατασταθεί με το λεγόμενο «click in shop».
