Mr Bean → Μίστερ Μπιν, Μίστερ Μπην

I'm not sure which is the worst translation of the English comedy 'Mr Bean: 'Μίστερ Μπην' or 'Ο Κύριος Φασόλι'?! Both are bad! But if someone was to translate 'Mr Bean', which should be used? Maybe 'Ο Κύριος Μπην'?

Ο Mr Bean, όταν σπανίως μεταγράφεται στα ελληνικά έντυπα, μεταγράφεται ως "Μίστερ Μπην" ή "Κύριος Μπην" -- και ποτέ δεν μεταφράζεται, όπως ο President Bush δεν γίνεται "πρόεδρος Θάμνος".

Σύμφωνα, βέβαια, με τους σύγχρονους κανόνες μεταγραφής το σωστό είναι Μπιν, με γιώτα, όχι με ήτα (62 Μίστερ Μπιν στο Google). Γι' αυτό και στο Ίντερνετ υπάρχουν 203 Τζέιμς Ντιν και μόνο 21 Τζέιμς Ντην (άντε, και 23 Τζέημς Ντην).

Nickel's post is a perfect example of why transliterating should be tough, and given maybe only one or two options, not squillions as so many do. the fierce rules I know of in Greek → English and English → Greek transliterations are the best, in my opinion.
