διήλθομεν διὰ πυρὸς καὶ ὕδατος → we went through fire and water
διήλθομεν διά πυρός και ύδατος

ἐπεβίβασας ἀνθρώπους ἐπὶ τὰς κεφαλὰς ἡμῶν, διήλθομεν διὰ πυρὸς καὶ ὕδατος, καὶ ἐξήγαγες ἡμᾶς εἰς ἀναψυχήν.
You mounted men upon our heads; we went through the fire and water; but you brought us out into [a place of] refreshment.
