Title: ἄνδρα μοι ἔννεπε, μοῦσα, πολύτροπον, ὃς μάλα πολλὰ πλάγχθη → Tell me, Muse, about the man of many turns, who many ways wandered (Cook translation of Odyssey 1.1)

Hello - specifically trying to find out if a portion from the first few lines of the Odyssey is a complete and intelligible thought in the Greek:  "ἄνδρα μοι ἔννεπε, μοῦσα, πολύτροπον, ὃς μάλα πολλὰ πλάγχθη" i.e. "Tell me, Muse, about the man of many turns, who many ways wandered" (Cook).  My intent is to simply clip off the English phrase that corresponds with the last potion of the sentence, "after he sacked the citadel of Troy."

I have almost no knowledge of ancient greek other than what you pick up through college philosophy classes, etc., so hopefully that makes sense. Thanks in advance!

Yes, JStr, you have a complete sentence in the lines you cite (first line of the Odyssey, plus one word from the next line).
