Έχω το Adobe InDesign CS (ενημερωμένο) και μου δίνει το σφάλμα: ‘This is not a valid InDesign Interchange document’.

ISSUE

When you try to open an Adobe InDesign Interchange (.inx) file in InDesign CS, the application returns the error message, "Cannot open the document '[filename]'. This is not a valid InDesign Interchange document."

REASON

The InDesign Interchange file was created in InDesign CS3.

SOLUTION

Do one of the following solutions:

Solution 1: Open the File in InDesign CS2 and then export to an InDesign Interchange format before opening in InDesign CS.

Note: Features that are supported in InDesign CS2 but not in InDesign CS will be ignored when you open the file in InDesign CS and are not preserved when the file is saved from InDesign CS.

Solution 2: Export the stories from InDesign CS3 in InCopy CS format and place them into InDesign CS.

Open your document in InDesign CS3.
Choose File > Edit > InCopy > Export > All Stories.
Name your file and specify a folder for the export.
Choose InCopy CS format from the Save As Type menu.
Click Save to export stories to the specified folder.
Note: Each InDesign story is exported to a separate InCopy CS file.

This option does not preserve the document layout but does allow you to export stories and paragraph styles from the InDesign CS3 document for use in InDesign CS. Graphics must be replaced in the InDesign CS document.

Thank you Spiros, (that's what I was afraid of) you're most certainly right. I wish Adobe would have better backwards compatibility for their own products considering what they cost!
