κενὰ σκιαγραφήματα τῆς διανοίας → figments of the imagination, literally "empty shadow-pictures of thοught" (Epicurus via Diogenes of Oenoanda):  included in an inscription in Oenoanda of the Hadrianic period (early 2nd century CE) by Diogenes of Oenoanda that outlined the philosophy of Epicurus.  Originally about 25,000 words long, it filled about 260 square metres of wall space.  Around a quarter of the inscription has been found, with further fragments now being excavated.  Cf. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diogenes_of_Oenoanda.
