Title: Multiterm - Runtime Error! When importing an .xml file with a .xdt file
Post by: sderenellina on 16 Apr, 2010, 14:25:28
Program C:\Programmi\TRADOS\MultiTerm\MultiTerm.exe This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.

This is the message I get when I try to import an .xml into a new termbase I created using a .xdt file that the agency sent me. I think I've done all the passages correctly, but still I can't get my new termbase, which is quite worrying as I need it by tomorrow for starting this new project with this new customer...

Anyhow I start my Multiterm 7.0.1.320 (Build 320), I go on termbases, select create termbase, select the folder for the new termbase, next and I choose the third option for loading an existing termbase definition file, which I browse and choose. Then next, choose the name, next, next, next, finish.
Then I go in the termbase menu again, choose termbase catalogue, go to import tab, click on create, import wizard appears, insert another name, next, browse for .xml file, next, put another name for the exclusion file, next, add import as new, next, finish. Then I select the import I just created and click on process, the .xml file is already there, next, the exclusion file is already there as well, next, next, it start importing, everything seems to work, but when it gets to 94% and start reorganizing the termbase The Message appears.

What can I do?
Thanks in advance for your precious help.

Do you have the glossary in excel format?
Try forwarding the files to me so that I can test them.
