Create new folder in Windows 7 with a shortcut—Ctrl+Shift+N

To create a new folder, simply press Ctrl+Shift+N

You can also create a shortcut on your desktop. First minimize all open windows using the Win+D, and then just use the above shortcut to create a new folder.

Windows 7 also includes a New Folder button.
