Barbara DeAngelis Need done in transliterated form.
-
Ποτέ δεν χάνεις όταν αγαπάς. Πάντοτε χάνεις όταν δεν δείχνεις την αγάπη σου.
(i.e. You never lose when you love. You always lose when you don't show your love. -- I repeat "love" as dirty minds will definitely misinterpret the Greek for "you don't show it".)
Translit (your variety):
Po'te den 'khaneis 'otan aga'pas. 'Pantote 'khaneis 'otan den 'deikhneis tin a'gapi sou.
(Is this OK? I'm always confused.)
-
You never lose when you love. You always lose when you don't show your love.
Which, of course, is a huge lie...

Nickel..thanks for your response. Not trying to be picky, but since it is a quote,is there a way to translate it verbatim? I don't like to miss quote another persons words. Thank you.

Metafrastis,
I must disagree....
We have a country song here in the US by Garth Brooks that goes something like this...
Looking back on the memory of..the dance we shared 'neath the stars above
For a moment all the world was right..how could I have known that you'd ever say goodbye..
And now, I'm glad I didn't know..the way it all would end, the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance. I could have missed the pain..But I'd of had to miss the dance...
Holding you, I held everything. For a moment..wasn't I the king. But if I'd only known how the king would fall...hey, who's to say..you know I might have changed it all.
And now, I'm glad I didn't know the way it all would end. The way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance...I could have missed the pain. But I'd have had to miss the dance.
Yes, my life is better left to chance. I could have missed the pain, but I'd have had to miss...the dance.
You see, no matter how bad a relationship...better to have loved...then never loved at all. Surely even in relationships that end badly...there was something we gained in the experience. If not, we would have not been in the relationship to begin with...even something minor discovered about ourselves.

I'm sure Pantelis (metafrastis) was joking. He does it often.
I myself totally agree with the title of this thread.

Totally agree!

I wasn't joking about this one. In the end, I guess it is a matter of personal experience. Just my personal opinion of course, not an attempt to enforce it (almost let it slip).
