Pidgin is a chat program which lets you log in to accounts on multiple chat networks simultaneously. This means that you can be chatting with friends on MSN, talking to a friend on Google Talk, and sitting in a Yahoo chat room all at the same time.

Pidgin is compatible with the following chat networks out of the box: AIM, ICQ, Google Talk, Jabber/XMPP, MSN Messenger, Yahoo!, Bonjour, Gadu-Gadu, IRC, Novell GroupWise Messenger, QQ, Lotus Sametime, SILC, SIMPLE, MySpaceIM, and Zephyr. It can support many more with plugins.

It's a great program with one warning: If you are using it and you also have various proxies, Pidgin will choke i.e. it will connect to the server within the proxy range but will not connect to the rest of the services. I use it in my office for corporate use but when I use it from within the company network, and despite the fact that I have set the proxies correctly for the other services, it will not connect to my GoogleTalk or MSN or AIM.

Άκουγα εδώ και πολύ καιρό για το pidgin και τελικά το κατέβασα για να το δοκιμάσω σ' ένα μηχανάκι και να δω από πρώτο χέρι τι ψάρια πιάνει στην πράξη. :-)

Το 2007 χρησιμοποιούσα άλλο. Τώρα το Skype. Έχει προστεθεί και το facebook. :-)

Εγώ τα μάζεψα όλα μαζί στο Pidgin και βρήκα την υγειά μου ενώ ταυτόχρονα έκλεισα το λογ/σμό στο Facebook πριν κανα 2μηνο.

και όχι μόνο... άρχισα γρήγορο περπάτημα κάθε πρωι στις 8 για 1/2 ώρα.

Ναι από το πάχος, γιατί τώρα που δεν καπνίζω... όλο τρώω!!!
