My translation: Freeing the friends, he was sacrificing to the gods.
Is this the correct translation?
The book says there is a genitive absolute in this sentence. I don't see it.

After freeing the friends, he sacrificed to the gods.
λύσας is an aorist participle and ἔθῡσε too is an aorist.
There is no genitive absolute in this sentence. There's no genitive at all, in fact.
