Job description

We currently have a vacancy for a Project Manager in our Life Sciences translation department.

The right candidate will be a project management professional with experience in translation and related technology and with a background in managing translations for the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector.

We are looking for a person who will not require extensive training in translation project management and who could quickly grasp the new role after an introduction to our procedures and workflows.

Duties and responsibilities

•   Setting up client accounts and matching the right medical and pharmaceutical translators/revisers to each account
•   Planning and monitoring projects to meet deadline, quality and budget requirements
•   Monitoring all jobs to ensure timely allocation of translators and revisers, using proprietary workflow and project management tools
•   File preparation, analysis and formatting
•   Checking and editing translations, and managing and monitoring quality control processes
•   Resolving questions and issues in a timely and effective manner and acting as a primary contact for clients and translation teams
•   Ensuring that client requirements are met rapidly and sensitively at all times
•   Ensuring the accuracy of financial project data, workflows, schedules and processes to maximize efficiency and profitability

Skills and Experience

•   At least 2 years’ experience managing projects for Life Sciences clients
•   Excellent computer literacy with an understanding of localization processes; very good knowledge of CAT tools is a must
•   Ability to independently lead large projects, including project scheduling and managing teams at the project level
•   Linguistic skills with the ability to assess quality and completeness of translations in the Life Sciences sector
•   Ability to multitask, prioritize and stay calm under pressure
•   Excellent communication skills for working with suppliers and clients across cultures
•   Ability to budget projects and measure profitability
•   University Degree, preferably in a language-related subject
•   Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, proficiency in other languages is an asset
