Hi!
Sorry for writing in English;
Does anyone know who translated the book above into Greek? (translator/publisher)
Any info will be greatly appreciated :-)

Hi,
I don't think that anyone here minds your writing in English :)

The book you are looking for can be found here:

Ο Χάρι Πότερ και η φιλοσοφική λίθος

Palavra kai Nickel milles merci!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You saved my ...blip.

just to give you an idea:
I am in a lab where I cannot install Greek fonts (no admin rights)
 and Ihave to find out
-who translated it into Greek/who was the proofreader
-if there are more than one translations
-the publisher
-literary agent
-illustrator
-interviews of people involved
and that´s just the easy part...
I have to connect all these with the concept of "habitus" as mentioned by Bourdieu...
by tomorrow morning.

Doesn´t this remind you of the joke about the names and addresses of the passengers on the Titanic? :-)

Thanks again!

Γεια σου, Κυριακή! :-)

Hi and thanks, H.P. fan!!!!

Yes, Psixogios (their-interesting transliteration) has the copyright.
It seems the original publishers-author followed a similar approach to other countries as well.
It´s interesting when you look at it in terms of patronage and as a culture-shaping element.

Enough with my blubber.
Thanks so much for taking the time to copy the data!

Quote
who translated it into Greek/who was the proofreader
Having read very closely the book, and in juxtaposition with the original, I'd really like to meet the proofreader. But then again, I'm not sure whether a proofreader has also to check the source text and compare, probably not.
