Hi.

How could 'περί ανέμων και υδάτων' be translated? I can't think of a suitable translation, like for example: 'Ο Δημήτρης μιλάει περί ανέμων και υδάτων'. Can anyone help?

Ευχαριστώ πολύ.

Leon.

Ευχαριστώ πολύ, Σπύρο.

Το "περί ανέμων και υδάτων" σημαίνει επίσης "waffling on" μήπως;

Would "Ο Δημήτρης μιλάει περί ανέμων" mean that Dimitris is talking about all different things and it doesn't make sense, or just the fact that he keeps talking?

Thanks again

Leon.

You can also say "talking about anything and everything" and yes, it does have an element of waffling, although the emphasis is not placed on that.

If he's not saying much/waffling, you could say "talking about everything and nothing"

but Spiros' idea about "this and that" sounds fine as well
