These two words are in the first line of a famous rebetiko song by Zekas.  They are some sort of cargo on a ship, but what?

No sort of cargo.

Μπουνάτσα  =  dead calm, no wind blowing
Μποφόρια    =  very strong winds blowing according to the Beaufort wind force scale

Τhe song says:

Με μπουνάτσες και μποφόρια
Ταξιδεύουν τα βαπόρια
Στα λιμάνια όλης της γης
Δύσης και Ανατολής

i.e. Regardless the weather (the wind force), ships keep travelling to reach harbours all around the world, either in the West or the East.
