Translators FAQ
What is this site all about?

OneHourTranslation.com is a fast, cost-effective solution for anyone who needs translation services. Translation services are usually costly; so many people do away with translations. OneHourTranslation.com lowers these costs dramatically.
What’s in it for me?

An unlimited opportunity to earn money, using your language skills.
As a freelance translator in our website, you can choose:
- when to work
- what size translation project you want
You don’t have to commit to a certain amount of projects.
What languages can be translated in this website?
At the moment we offer translation services from/to:
English, Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin/ Cantonese), Dutch, French, Hebrew, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.
How much money can I earn?
We pay a fixed price according to the number of words you translate, no matter which language is being translated and into which language. The customer declares the amount of words to be translated. You translate exactly this number of words.
You earn:
100 words - 3 US$
250 words - 7.5 US$
500 words - 15 US$
750 words - 22.5 US$
1,000 words - 30 US$
5,000 words - 150 US$
10,000 words - 300 US$
How do I get paid?
PayPal.
After the customer confirms that he/she is satisfied with the result, you will be credited with word credits for as much as you translated. When you have at least 250 word credits, you can claim and receive your payment (via PayPal only!) through the control panel. Please remember that PayPal deducts its transaction fees from what we pay you, according to your PayPal account type.
If you want to claim your payment before you reach the minimum credits (250 words), please e-mail us at info@OneHourTransaction.com with the reason for the request and we will review it.
How do I claim my funds?
In order to claim your funds you need to:
1.   Collect at least 250 word credits
2.   Press the “convert credit to money” button in your control panel
3.   Fill in your PayPal account and the amount of word credits to convert
4.   Upload an invoice with the appropriate sum (see an example invoice here)
5.   Press the “submit” button.
The funds will be deposit in your PayPal account within 24 hours
How does it work?
You browse the “Open Projects” page for posted translation projects. You choose a project only if you can start working immediately on that project. Our customers use this website to get fast results, so you have a tight yet reasonable time limit during which to submit the result to the project page (1 hour per 250 words). If you don’t submit the result within this time limit, the project is reopened for other translators and you will not be able to choose the same project again. Upon submitting the translated result, the customer reserves the right to review and ask you for improvements. At this stage, the customer cannot copy/paste the result. We will credit you as soon as the customer signifies that he is satisfied with the result.
What if the customer is not satisfied with the result?
The project will be reopened for other translators, and you will not get paid. This is the only way we can protect our customers from frauds and low-quality translators. If you think an injustice has been made, please e-mail us at dispute@OneHourTranslation.com and we will thoroughly examine the case.
How about additional languages?
We’ll consider more languages according to customers’ demand and freelance translators’ availability.
I have a question/ complaint. What do I do?
Send it to info@OneHourTranslation.com. We promise a reply within 48 hours.
Who are you guys?
We’re Three Innovators Ltd.
We created this service because we needed such a service ourselves. We have a successful financial website in Hebrew (ETF.co.il), and we wanted to make local versions of it in other languages. We found out that translating it using traditional translation services was too expensive, so we realized that affordable but high-quality translation services would definitely be needed by innovative webmasters all over the world.

Η γλώσσα τους δε μου φαίνεται επαγγελματική.

Οι όροι τους είναι χάλια.

Το δε "πληρώνεσαι μόνο αν ο πελάτης βρει ικανοποιητική τη μετάφραση" βρομάει από χιλιόμετρα.

Άρα, όπως ο διάολος το λιβάνι...

ΥΓ: Τώρα είδα και το "Translated 13823 Words By 234 Translators" στο banner τους.

'found your site while browsing. The concept of fast and cheap translation for service providers and customers perhaps needs a little more clarification..'
'Translation and localization is generally considered a specialized profession, which obviously demands quality and not just quantity.'
'The Translator's profile contains no information other than language pairs - this is irregular and lacks even basic information, i.e. CV, credits, experience, etc.'
'..noticed that Greek was missing from your list. I am an experienced translator for any combination of English, French and Greek and would like to propose that you consider adding Greek to your list of languages, being amongst the main languages of the European Community.'
'Frankly, your rates appear lower than the basic minimums generally considered as acceptable.'

Και ποιος δεν χρειάζεται μετρητά και μάλιστα γρήγορα σήμερα;
Φασούλι το φασούλι γεμίζει το σακούλι.

Since its launch in 2008, OneHour has improved and developed greatly. The website has been refined and is now more user-friendly for customers and translators alike.

I would even dare to call them “good payers” since they pay translators in a reliable and timely manner. Unlike most clients who pay in 30, 45, 60, or even more days, turnover can be just 7 days from finished translation to actual payment, depending on your payment request.
It’s a way to make some money when we need it and the translator decides when payments are processed.
Is there anyone who doesn’t need cash in hand quickly these days?
Every little bit helps.
